I prioritize my time to who is with me first then phone then email
After working in the UK for a year I learned the custom of prioritizing my time first to the individuals that have taken the time to see me. The reason for this is not to be rude to these individuals who have taken the time to be with me. I know that this can be frustrating to some individuals and I apologize but I hope you understand my rational.
The next priority is for those who have tried to contact me via phone and left a message. I receive 20-50 messages a day and have found that between phone number spoofing, unwanted cold sales calls and misdials that most of these individuals do not leave messages. If a message is left, I try to answer it within 24 hours. If you need an answer quicker, please state this in your message.
The next priority is electronic mechanisms. This may be from email, Skype, LinkedIn and other methods. I typically try to resolve these items within 48 hours to every Wednesday. If you need a response quicker, please let me know in your message.
